Airline Container Leasing, a member of the IATA Interline ULD User Group (IULDUG), attended this panel's 20th AGM, held in Bangkok from October 10 through Oct. 13th, with 2 delegates this year. This group is responsible for establishing rules and regulations for the interlining of ULDs between IATA airlines, IULDUG member airlines and certain associated members, such as Container Pooling, ULD Management and ULD Leasing companies, as well as regulating rights and duties of all concerned parties. ACL's commitment to the industry as a whole, and support to the member airlines war honored this year with ACL's being inviting onto a fact finding and rule establishment committee tasked to come up with a practical definition for the various non-airline ULD owning entities, as well as a system to allow free interlining between all airlines, and all non-airline ULD owners. This panel will present it's finding to the IULDUG group next year and, once accepted by the members, to the IATA attorney for a legal check-up and to have a contract drawn up, which would have to be ratified by the IATA Airlines and non-IATA IULDUG member airlines. ACL is proud to be an active member of both, the IULDUG group, as well as this committee.
